2002-10-22 - 5:38 p.m. It's drizzly and rainy, but I've been liking that lately for some reason. I like it as long as it doesn't rain too much. It cools things off and makes soft sounds from the cars driving down the street...kind of like waves on a distant beach...only instead it's from big hunks of metal made by underpaid workers in Detroit, the shittiest of all American cities, sold by slimey car dealerships, now housing soccer moms flying down Congress at 45 miles per hour. Earnest Gaines spoke at my school this afternoon. It was for the recomencement of Judice Hall, the new Honors building. They had the street blocked off on St. Mary which is a the main street on campus, so that you couldn't even drive by the procession. I wonder if the sea parts for Earnest Gains too.
